What is Bullying?
Bullying is the act of intentionally causing harm to others through verbal harassment, physical assault, or other more subtle methods of bullying such as manipulation.
The Word "Bully"
What does the word make you think of? For some people, it's that girl at school who always make fun of them. For other its the biggest guy in the neighborhood who's always trying to beat them up or take their things. Sometimes "bully" means a whole group of kids, ganging up on someone else. Bullying happens everywhere. Whether it's your town or across the world, bullying happens everywhere you go. It happens all the time, since the beginning of time. Because it's so common and impossible to stop, many adults think it is a normal part of growing up. As a parent you might have said things like "Don't let it get to you" or "You just have to toughen up" and even "Suck it up!"
